When I walked up to the house today there was a strange little yellow book in a plastic bag.

The closer I got I realized I had seen something similar many years ago. It was called the yellow pages.

At first I didn’t know what to do with it. I brought in into the house more out of curiosity than utilization.

Then I thought, when was the last time I had actually used the yellow pages. No, I really had to thing about it.

I thought back in the last year, had I used the yellow pages, No. Had I used the yellow pages in the last two to three years, No.

Then it hit me I could not remember the last time I picked up the yellow pages to look for a product or service to purchase.

How about you? When was the last time you used the yellow pages for a purchase?

Let me ask you a question?

When was the last time a patient came into your office and you asked them how they heard about you (as you should do with all patients for marketing purposes) and they said the yellow pages.

No it doesn’t matter what kine of a deal the sales Rep. is willing to give me, if my business does not come from that media source you have no business spending time or money on that source.

The last three chiropractic office studies I performed, not one patient had come from the yellow pages.

After word of mouth it was the Internet.
