Many times I receive calls from doctors wanting me to help them with their auto injury online chiropractic marketing.
I frequently hear two common denominators:
- They cannot relate the 3 phases of healing to the AMA Guides to Impairment.
- They do not know the formula for auto injury compensation.
Having practiced for over 14 years and testified for the largest auto injury verdict in my county I am quite familiar with what it takes to successfully market to PI attorneys.
In my experience personal injury attorney referrals occur from one of two factors:
- You develop a personal relationship with the attorney.
- You know your stuff and know how to sell them on that fact.
I have yet to see attorney referrals happen without one of those two factors.
After having opened 77 chiropractic offices in 20 states, it is my opinion you need to know how to do both, develop a personal relationship and you better know your stuff or the referral relationship will not last long.
Marketing can only get you in the door of a prospective PI attorney
You must have the ability to create and maintain the personal relationship and package the auto injury case, wrap it up, and tie a bow on it before you deliver it to the referring attorney.
I have taken many personal injury referrals from other chiropractors that had lunch and played golf with the attorney, yet could not explain how or why this person has a permanent injury from an auto injury.
