Over 80% of potential PI patients search the internet for information before making call a doctor for an appointment. When those patients search the internet 75% will use the Google search engine. Only 11% will place a domain name or URL.

After they enter their keywords, 84% will pick from the listings on the organic section and first page of Google. Only 16% will pick a pay per click ad.

I often get calls from chiropractors asking which are the best chiropractic PI marketing systems. What I tell them they typically do not understand or have considered.

Most chiropractors marketing for PI patients think there is a special marketing program behind the curtain.

It’s like I was telling one of my callers today. Marketing for PI patients is just like life. The easier PI chiropractic marketing systems everybody gravitates to and it is not as effective.

The chiropractic PI marketing systems that work the best take more effort on behalf of the chiropractor. They typically need to increase their knowledge base and put in the extra effort.

Most of the chiropractors I tell this to do not want to hear it. They want the easy fix. So I send them on there way to continually spend their time and money on less effective but easy chiropractic PI marketing systems.

So here it is, the easiest and the best chiropractic marketing systems.

First the easiest: E-mail marketing to your past patients who are getting into auto accidents at a rate of 2% a year. Easy but the most effective.

Now the most effective: A well structured sales message to PI attorneys with automated followup. Much more effective but the knowledge to create a good PI attorney sales message takes some effort on the chiropractors behalf.

  • They must know the three phases of healing as it relate to objectifying a lesion.
  • The ability to objectify a lesion which most chiropractors do not understand or overlook.
  • The ability to quantify the lesion which requires extra knowledge on AMA impairment guides.
  • Last the knowledge and ability to report the lesion in a colossus framework.

So there you have it, the easiest and most effective chiropractic PI marketing systems.

PI Marketing for Chiropractors: PI Fraud

Special Investigations Unit: Otherwise Know as Chiropractic Insurance Fraud

An Allstate adjustor signed an affidavit that a system known as Casualty Hub is capable of and is in fact used for tracking the relationship between attorney and chiropractic provider.

If either the chiropractor or the lawyer has a history of taking cases which for whatever reason were considered as possible fraudulent, both the doctor and the attorney could end up o the SIU (Special Investigations Unit) list.

Once on this list all future cases in which the doctor and/or the attorney will be involved will be considered suspect of fraud.

Providers may be placed on the SIU list if they provide treatment that does not match the diagnosis, as well as for not diagnosing injuries correctly. For example, continual treatment for a sprain/strain of greater than eight weeks creates a problem in that a sprain/strain should not take that long to treat.

If an insurance company asks to come to the provider’s facility to “review some files” that a provider can assume that they are on the SIU list.

If the clinic is multidisciplinary in nature and the question revolves around billing for services provided, it is recommended that you show the company representative that all billed modalities/procedures are present in your office.
